Floyd County’s administrator resigned her position last week, the county attorney confirmed Monday.
The county board of supervisors accepted Linda Millsaps’ resignation, County Attorney Stephen Durbin said in an email exchange. Durbin, who said he was out of the office for meetings on Monday, did not reply to follow-up questions.
Millsaps, who came to Floyd in March 2021, did not return messages left for her on social media. Little River District Supervisor Linda DeVito Kuchenbuch said in a text message exchange that she and her colleagues were directing all questions to Durbin.
Prior to her time in Floyd, Millsaps was executive director at George Washington Regional Commission in Fredericksburg, according to her LinkedIn page.
Kim Chiddo is listed as interim county administrator on the county’s website. Chiddo had previously been deputy administrator. She did not reply to an email sent to her work address.
