Kate Flannigan is a freelance reporter for Cardinal News. She spent fifteen years in television news as anchor, reporter and manager. She was awarded Reporter of the Year by the Associated Press. Her coverage ran the gamut, from devastating hurricanes, to brutal crimes and glamorous red carpet interviews at the CMA Awards in Nashville. Most recently Kate helped teach high school journalists in Kansas and guided them in yearbook, newspaper and social media production. Kate graduated from Indiana University, with a double major in Journalism and Political Science. She lives in Daleville with her husband and three children.
